schumacher truck conversion + new chassis for cougar sv
today chris hahlen was driving a cs truck conversion kit for the cougar sv in langenfeld.
it looks verry  the kit would be available at toy fair in January. he drives his cougar sv also with a other chassis, from cs, its 5 mm longer, also can you play with batterie's for more weight to the front or rear side from the car. end should be a lot better for corner speed, this chassis should be available in a "week" or 2. the body and undertray still fit for this chassis grtz jeffrey |
Looks like schey beat them to it on the chassis. I would like to see what they have done as far as the truck conversion. When you say truck are you talking about a 2wd to compete with a associated t4 losi xxxt etc? or are you talking short course?
|
something like a real truck not a sc
it has a longer chassis, schocktowers etc.. and the arms are from a T4 i think a pic says more http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6083/img0321lz.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
looks nice. Is he using the shocks from the SV? short up front and long in back? if so wow! not a whole lot of suspension travel. chassis looks to be short compared to ae losi or kyosho trucks.
|
i dont know if the schocks are the same, i think they are a bit longer.
but he said it was going to be a conversion kit, so not new car from schumacher, if I understand correctly anyway, hihi. grtz |
This is not an Schumacher product.
It's an homemade project. So Schumacher has nothing to do with this Truck. Told me by Harv. |
i know its a conversion kit from cs electronics i have said that in the first post.
:p |
Is this conversion going to a product or how too mod ? Im rather keen on rocking a schey truck..
|
4 things needed for a short course
-2wd buggy base.............check -longer chasis.................check -longer suspension arms....probably being developed -body............................probably being developed I could be wrong but its only a matter of time before we see a SC from schumacher. |
Oh the SC does exist for sure. ;) as for a 2wd truck, it would be nice if schey would do one based on the sv but truck has always been a after thought for the minds at schuey. But hey one can always hope.
|
i think the arms are from a associated T4.
and the chassis is longer than the new one from shumacher. other schocktowers, cardans, top deck, chassis.. its more than you think at the first moment. :p |
Could someone post a link to buying this conversion kit?? Always liked a "real" 1:10 scale truck :D
|
Its got T4 arms on it thats a given, but CS electrics stuff looks like chassis decks and shock towers.
A Schey SC truck based on the Cougar would be a interesting setup, ive got a Xfactory SCX60 and thats a mint SC truck to drive over the stock AE setup. |
Wait for the TOYFAIR in Nurnberg Germany at the beginning of Februar...
At that event Schummi comes with some news, I think. |
Any info or updates on this yet ?
|
CS decided not to make a complete conversion as this would be too expensive.
The chassis parts will be available some time in the future.Probably only made on demand as the Market seems too small for a bigger production run. Post if I'm wrong Cruise |
anybody have the website for these guys...i want to do a conversion myself
|
