Losi Shocks
Could anyone tell me if the XXX4 rear shocks are exactly the same size as the XX4 ? Thanks
|
I'm virtually certain they are not. erhas the bodies are but the shafts not?
|
Cheers i`m after some threaded shocks for my X6 and am told the XX4 rear ones are best !
I`ve found some XXX4 ones for sale. |
Actually I THINK the xx4 ones are the longer so the xxx4 ones might be fine.
|
Losi's website knows...
XX-4 http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSA5062 XXX-4 http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSA5064 => XX-4 longer |
Are the bodies the same though?
|
If I remember right the xxx4 had 1.0 bodys & shafts.
|
where as the XX4 has 1.2
|
Thats right mate. :D
Did I hear you say to your dad about a vid of your runs yesterday? |

I don't know if this question should get a new thread, but here goes...
What kind of longevity should I expect from my Ti-Nitride coated shock shafts? I bought a replacement about two weeks ago and after about three hours of driving I'm already seeing the silver metal under the Ti-Nitride coating. This is after replacing the cartridge and oil before use. |
That is very quick unless they are binding or something, often if they are slightly bent they will wear like this, have they taken a knock early on?
Are they Losi or MIP shafts? |

yeah light was poo though and couldn't see anything on the footage. Afraid he has a bit to do to catch up with Bathy, lol |
Super Dan, thanks for getting back:
MIP makes shock shafts? Well, THAT'S pretty cool! You may be right about the binding; one of the bolts through the shock tower to the shock was bent. I noted it after I took it apart yesterday. All new parts now. I'll keep punishing it, uh, I mean driving it and see how it holds up. |
