nearly finished. things to note

chassis and top deck are slightly thinner than original,
batteries are about 5mm further back,
new shock towers are thicker,
on the front tower new 2nd from outside hole = old inside hole,
rear tower is about 3-5mm lower than standard and inside on old is about middle hole on new,
steering arms are black aluminium not blue like prototype,
rear hubs are 0 degrees and slightly lower profile plus don't have outside hole,
kit doesn't include lexan rear belt cover :mad:

I have also recived mine :)

But also without sway bars and rear belt cover :mad:

I was astonished that the old body BX-101 is in this kit. And not the BX-101F (Factory)
They have only made the old one a bit longer in the rear and a new cooling opening on the right side. (but so you can use an ESC with Fan).

But I am pleased that the majority of old parts are compatible :)

I goes tomorrow test it on a carpet track... :)

So how was your testing with the new BX World Spec?

From what I can gather talking to people about the BX (as I am looking to maybe change from the BJ4WE) th very last thing you could ever want is to move the weight further rearwards, certainly for the UK!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why anybody would want this in the UK, or any other country that races on high grip surfaces.

Will the current spec BX-F still be available??

maybe the new steering is quite aggressive.

In which case the last thing in the world you'd want is a rearward weight distribution as it would just push then break away at the back so violently that you'd stand little chance of catching it ..... which mens you couldn't lean on the car and push hard which means slow lap times!

On high grip surfaces, especially if you have a lot of steering reaction, you want the back end to be stable. A slightly more forward weight distribution will give a more progressive and predictable break from the rear and in particular a more progressive transfer of load across the diagonals as the car enters / leaves the corner.

Part of the reason I am looking at the BX is that it has a relatively forward weight distribution (compared with a BJ4WE for example) and sensible inboard camber link positions which should mean that the car can be set up to be VERY predictable.

if you want weight forwards have a look at an S4. I believe it has the most weight up front of any other car available

Before returning this thread to the Yokomo owners ....

G' .... the pred is responsible for my taste for forward weight distribution but I personally don't believe that there is any support for the car at the moment ... hopefully I will be proved wrong but if I can't get parts at all, let alone trackside, I am not interested. Such a shame as I ran preds from the XT will the P8, probably kept running the P8 longer than was sensible.

Chris, The S4 looks like a great machine and all those who have them seem to love them ..... just can't justify that much money on a chassis conversion on top of a £300+ car ..... I could pay a months mortgage for that!

Anyway .... back to the Yokomo..

Hi RogerM, i've driven the original Yokomo BX and it is by far a very good and stable buggy, the only thing i didn't like was the 2 piece chassis. I've got mates who's currently driving the original BX and the BX 2007 Factory Team Edition...both are really stable buggies, another mate coverted his original BX to the latest World's Edition Spec and was pretty disappointed. The World's Edition has got more weight at the rear, and for a some reason it's rear tends to push more than the original BX. My mate kinda regretted getting the conversion kit. If you watched the 2005 and 2007 IFMAR vids, Masami's BX in IFMAR 2005 was way more stable on the bumpy areas and seem to corner better too compared with the IFMAR 2007 BX...

Ran the Yoke Worlds Edition for first time today and must say it is major improvement on origional BX...
Car handles bumpy sections really well now as well as jumping flat.

Can't see how you can compare the two cars from the videos of two different worlds ???
Diff tracks etc..

With regard the weight issue, the cells have been moved back 3mm... but you have also moved the shocks back. This you will find has balanced the car out more.

I have ran both now and on first inpressions the worlds is quick.

I guess it's all about personal preference :) Yes, i agree that the 2005 and 2007 IFMAR had different track conditions, but both were kinda bumpy. I guess for me an my mates, we prefer the handling of the original BX...Cheers :D

It was great. I drive it with the stock set-up from the worlds. The track was a normal gripp carpet.

The steering is purely in the curve really aggressive. When you go from the throttle, the car turns more. But outside, it pushes the curve. Have anyone an idea for this? Or what can i do? :)

And have anybody an idea for the sway bars?
wich one do you use in the rear?

and wich in the front? and how you mount this there?

If I undestand correctly, your car pushes on trothle and oversteers while coasting?

If you're running on carpet I'll try removing as much suspension travel as possible, so the car will be less trothle sensitive.
