what servo?

looking for another servo,

want a decent model out there, cant be savox as they dont agree with my nosram pearl for some reason, spare ko pro is fine.

what you suggest? ko pro? where do I buy in the uk? or ace servo?

not sure on other servos as ive only ever used savox. thanks.

captainlip 27-12-2010 07:32 PM

my back up is an old ko propo ps-2173fet that is glitch free, thinking of getting a new one of these, what you reckon?

coolcars782 27-12-2010 07:37 PM

What is wrong with your Ko Propo?

captainlip 27-12-2010 07:39 PM

its seen better days, but thinking of selling the savox and buying this old ko propo new.

is the fact the ko is analogue its the reason its not glitching like my savox digital?

RogerM 27-12-2010 08:12 PM

Futaba or Power HD gets my vote

could be that when you have shortend the wire in the servo you have goosed it?

never heard of savox running problems on a specific speedo

[QUOTE=captainlip;446084]its seen better days,

That quote implies its goosed. Is this the same servo you are selling as new condition.
You may have as Mark says got the internal soldering messed up and untill you fix it should not be selling it.

captainlip 27-12-2010 08:39 PM

the soldering is perfect trust me and took every effort and time to ensure it was, this servo was shortened and used with the gt2 speedo so I know its working fine!!!

 thought as much, but am guessing there's a technical meaning behind the phrase goosing?

captainlip 27-12-2010 09:25 PM

PMSL yes or broken :D

fidspeed 27-12-2010 09:42 PM

probably going off on a slight tangent but in the very early days of digi servos i had a ko digi and struggled with glitching and general problems fitted old analogue ko (with fet lead, pre brushless and lipo days) problem disappered again . I can only deduce that the speedo couldnt deliver enough power through the BEC to supply the more hungry digi servo .I still only have one digital servo now and 8 ko anologues of varying age and i find i hard to tell much difference between any of them

maybe i'm just s**t:D

regards dave

steelie600 27-12-2010 10:24 PM

Do you have a powercap fitted to the esc?? If not it will glitch with the Savox. FIT a cap and all your problems will be solved THERE IS NOTHING UP WITH SAVOX SERVOS. Ive run them since launch and NEVER had any fail!!

captainlip 27-12-2010 10:45 PM

power cap fitted

captainlip 27-12-2010 10:47 PM

power cap fitted  its not the servo glitching its the esc stuttering the throttle but this is because of the servo, analogue servo sorts this for some reason. :bored:
