British Winter Open Jan 2011

Hi,

Just thought as I am a member of the host club running this, that I should do my bit to publicise the event a bit more, and drum up some more interest...
This is mainly to any racers out there, who may not have heard of Hereford before, and are thinking its not going to be any good...

We have held the UK-MicroX meeting, for the last two years (at least).
We have also held the final BRCA Micro National meeting of the series for the last two series, and have had superb feedback both times...

See the micro meeting and pics here from BRCA Micro Nat 2010

And this will be an off-road track!
We will also be using the full width of the hall, going perpendicular to the pics, with pitting behind the rostrum..

The club website is here: http://www.1st-hrcc.co.uk

Any questions let me know, I just need to add a new logo to the homepage about the BWO meeting, but will be doing that tonight!

Cheers
Mark

I occassionally pop over to Hereford as they are just about my closest offroad "club" (at about 75 mins away  ) and have to say that these guys know what they are doing and always put out a track in 15 min for the club nights which is better / more interesting than many outdoor clubs without permenant tracks manage for a regional even after a full day of prep!!!!

Given the oppertunity to use all their stuff in the full hall with plenty of time to get it all set up it can only be brilliant.

I have 100% faith in their ability to put this event on and make it one to remember.

Hope to see you all there 2nd weekend in January.

P.S. I am not in anyway associated with Hereford club other than finding it good enough fun to trek for over an hour down windy country lanes to get there after a dodgy day at work. Honest opinion, just wanted people to be clear on that.

Remember that this event is run by the 1/10th Off Road Section, and it is not our policy to publish Entry Lists.
Just send in your entry and help fill the meeting

A note for those looking for accomodation. If you go to laterooms / bedandbreakfasts.co.uk or any such site use the POST CODE not Leominster as the search criteria and you will get a load more results much more local.

I was looking at staying over that weekend as it's about a hours drive each way for me on clear roads but have now decided against it. When I was looking I found next to nothing using "Leominster" rather than the postcode!!

How about telling us how many have entered? I understand why you don't publish a entry list though:D Safety first eh

Neil867 22-12-2010 12:58 PM

There's a Premier Inn and Travelodge in Hereford about 10 to 15 mins drive to venue.

Any F1's booked in for this yet? Get those entries in chaps and show us how its done!

gnr racer 24-12-2010 02:26 PM

I booked in for this meeting aprox 3 weeks ago,if there is no entry list do we just turn up on the day & presume our entries have been accepted??
Also 'in my opinion' its rediculous entry lists are not published due to safety reasons,is this due to people (who ever they may be??) reading the list & burgling your house?? do all us racers live alone then

neiloliver 24-12-2010 05:18 PM

I dont think the reason is to prevent you being burgled. In fact it would be the 'best' time to be broken into as all your most valuable stuff would be with you

I'm in Mark and I know Yardy is so there will be at least 2 of us rocking it up!

Big G 24-12-2010 10:22 PM

I need to post my entry off, but I'll be there seeing as it's 1.6 miles from my house :D
