B44.1 Slipper

First time out with the car today and noticed that after every run the slipper had completely come loose. Anyone else had this problem? And no what it could be. Thanks

Did you put the o-ring inside the blue collar? Just a thought, this should stop it loosening off!

I would just double check the slipper assembly, following the manual, its actually very easy to make a mistake at this step.

:D

Hope this helps,
Mark

i had a similar problem when i built my b44(many moons ago).i think i had put the slippernut on the wrong way round and basically overcompressed the spring which then lost its tension and caused the slipper to slip constantly because the spring just wasnt putting enough force on the plates.i would have thought the opposite would happen but it didnt.maybe worth a look

also check the pads.if the slipper was slightly loose to begin with the pads may have glazed over and no matter how tight you go will cause slip.did the slipper nut physically move?

Yes it completely backed off to the plastic outdrive.
