Wheel wobble

I am a newbie to this, I have built my son a B44.1 for Xmas (no, honest, it is for him!!)

I have wheel wobble on the front with the stock wheels supplied, rears are passable, the rollpin holding the hub is located correctly, there are no highspots, any suggestions?

thanks

it could be a few things...

one, the wheels might no be true. Some of the associated wheel came out of the mould a little warped, but i thought they fixed the problem. check if it the wheel with out the tyres first if it isn't that, then make sure there is no play in the linkages or suspension.

It could also be the tyre and insert are not fitted to the wheel correctly make sure before gluing the tyre that insert aren't bunched up inside, ie the tyre profile is even all the way around and that the tyre is seated evenly in the bead.

Are the bearing inserted in the hubs so that axle cant wobble when it rotates?

Err the other thing is the CVD is not a a true CV reppza joint, so the greater the angle you turn the steering wheels the greater velocity change happens thus cause vibration.. thus the wheel wobbles. it does it when it striaght the wheels will probably be out of true.

more info here.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_joint

If you you a spool you will hear the out drives chatter because of this.
