dBoots 10th off road tyres
dBoots are proud to release to market their latest in 2wd & 4wd 10th Off Road “dBoots” tyre technology. http://www.dboots.com/ The dBoots tyre range has been developed over the last 6 months and the first – Terrabyte – tyre is now available. We will have more designs available in the coming months for 10th scale, Short Course and 8th scale - so please keep your eyes on the website for further details. The Terrabyte tyre is already the Control tyre for the Ardent Raceway Off Road Winter Series (http://www.ardentracing.com/teamdurangowinterseries/) and has successfully proved itself by setting TQ and the Win the first time out in the hands of Nathan Waters (TQ) and Adam Skelding (Win) |
Is there a 2wd front version of this tyre?
Also do you know the price being charged at Ardent for the tyres? Regards Gareth |
No 2WD front yet!
4WD fronts £7.25 Rears £7.75 |
Tyres look great!
To clarify, being the control tyre you MUST use these tyres at the Ardent winter series (i.e. Sunday)? |
I thought the control tyre was either dBoots or Yellow Mini pins...?

Dont forget 2wd can run ANY front tyre!!! |
Toby is correct, I don't think I saw dBoots on anything other than Durango chassis at the last one Dan so don't worry mate.
I've ordered yellow pins for sunday |
Thanks all.
As I say, they do look good!!!! |
I can confirm they are good!
Tried them last Sunday at Bury Metro indoor meeting. They had plenty of grip on the polished floor, and don't seem to wear out anywhere near as quick as Schey minipins. Will be using them at Chadderton this Sunday. Craig |
So dboots are best on carpets like the minipins
|
What are they like on the Carpet, wear and tear, grip etc?
|
There just as good as Schey minipins on the carpet, loads of grip but also a little more forgiving at the same time. This made the transition from polished floor to high grip carpet easier and more consistent.

Awesome, might have to try a set!
What you using on the 2wd for front tyres? |
Will be on sale this Saturday and Sunday at the Ardent Raceway and Team Durango Winter Series Round 3. Doors open for practice on Saturday from 13:00 until 22:00. Sunday doors open 07:30 racing starts at 09:00.
Spaces available, just turn up. Surface will be 70% carpet, 30% OSB boards/hardboard. For more info visit www.ardentracing.com/teamdurangowinterseries |
Ive only tried them in 4wd but would imagine the should work fine in 2wd aswell. I'd prob use minipins on the front or staggers until they make their own 2wd fronts.

Have these tires been tested on dirt?
|
They do look cool :)
Is it just me or does Adam look a bit scary in that picture?! Quote:
