Bought a xxx4 but then thought if i bought a up to date car parts ect wont be a problem.:thumbsup::thumbsup: |
I'd say the FS2 looks the more serious bit of kit, with its nice blue bits and graphite stuff, but its also more delicate than the Bmax. Not just more fragile, also more sensitive to the wrong or right setup.
The Bmax is very much a club racers car - tough and uncomplicated. The Lazer is more a precision tool. I prefer the Bmax cos I'd just break a Lazer. |

bad points on cars b max front shock tower easy fix rc xtream 5mm towers. gear boxes can feel tight from new they do free Quality control could be better. FS again shock towers easy fix again three racing, rc xtream ones on the way. price of parts. im not going to list good points as they are pretty much comparible. stu:thumbsup: |
looked at the ansmann x4 pro? honestly ignore the name and look at the car

I still smile when I see posts abou the Lazer being fragile, absolutely NOT the case, the current FS is built like a tank ... a VERY light tank but a tank none the less!
The only slightly weak point on them is the front shock tower and then only on soft surfaces where they can dig in, same for any car with a slimline plastic front tower really. That will be sorted in the next couple of weeks when the Desire RcRacing towers are available to the public, designed to be strong, with a little more adjustment and improve the one very slight chinc in the FS armour which most people won't ever find anyway!!!! FS is super easy to build, super easy to maintain, mega reliable (doing my diffs tonight for the first time since Petit in January and the same set of gears have been in there since it was an SP!!!), responds beautifully to setup changes but never turns into an undrivable car ... so long as your on the right tires of course. I would say it is more than possible to run the FS2 with the same setup everywhere much like many did with the XX4 so don't worry about setup sensitivity however if you like to play with setups then the FS responds like no other car I have ever owned. It is also a true out of the box racer, you don't need anything that isn't included, even the kit springs are usable for a lot of places. Yes some people like to put 60g on the chassis spine (recomend the RudeBits part if you want to do that) but that really is it! Even with the 60g in there I have seen a couple of cars right on the weight limit so it's no fat lump either. My own car is approx 1600g but then I have heavy cells and chuncky ESC on board.. The best 4wd car ever? IMHO quite possibly! |
Not fragile as such, but more so than a Bmax. With carbon towers fitted it takes some serious effort to break a Bmax.
The difference is an FS2 won't break in normal use, a Bmax can survive deliberate abuse. |

both are good cars but for me im not into the poor quality of the bmax i dont like how the drive shafts dig their way through the out drives, the slipper dousent work properly and they seam to strip bevel gears very easy.Id definatley only consider a lazer or a b44

At my local club it's mainly bmax or zx5 and you can tell who has the bmaxs because you only see them on the rostrum no spare time in-between heats as the bmax Owners are always trying to sort out the diffs or the slippers on the buggy
So if you want time to relax and have a chat in-between heats get a lazer or If your Billy no mates and can't be bothered speaking to no one get a bmax Buds |

All that aside your bmax is crap like you said it's a bit of a basher and no serious racer should consider one. You can't get any of your bmaxs past and present to complete a meeting with no issues and your a f**king physics teacher !!!! Buds |
