Toyota Celica TSport 190 - Detail
This is the other Celica of a guy that works with my Dad, i said i'd give it a good going over and see what i could do.
Here's how it arrived http://i56.tinypic.com/nxjrr9.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2v800mf.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/24ozjt4.jpg http://i52.tinypic.com/2dmfep2.jpg First gave the car a covering of Snow Foam http://i55.tinypic.com/erbv5c.jpg After this i went round the car with some G101 and a brush http://i54.tinypic.com/x38ryo.jpg Car was then rinsed off http://i53.tinypic.com/15x91k4.jpg Wheels were then sprayed with Very Cherry (Acid free) and then scrubbed http://i56.tinypic.com/8wim86.jpg http://i53.tinypic.com/rkv3pv.jpg Wheels then rinsed off http://i55.tinypic.com/4trss0.jpg The whole car was then clayed, it wasn't picking up a massive amount dirt wise but there was a texture all over the car that the clay soon cleared and left a really nice smooth finish. After claying i rinsed the whole car off, and then sprayed it with some Meguiars Last Touch to use as a drying aid Before last touch http://i52.tinypic.com/30jis6q.jpg After a few sprays http://i53.tinypic.com/qosqyx.jpg Machine polish stage was next, so i taped up the car and got the machine ready - Started with an SFX-2 Pad and SFX-2 Polish, this was getting good results right away so i carried on around the whole car with it Few 50/50 shots http://i56.tinypic.com/2ajytcx.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2lkso6v.jpg http://i56.tinypic.com/1zeksaa.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/a0dkz5.jpg http://i51.tinypic.com/k46nvl.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/ofdapz.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/2193sw8.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/2e0tjsw.jpg |
Part2
http://i53.tinypic.com/2isb5aw.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2a9wrx3.jpg The weather turned on me so i had to get the car into the garage, dry it off. I decided to go with a Sealant, and see how well it stands up against the Dodo Wax i used on Paul's other Celica (Gen6) - I'm hoping it will stand up well as this is more his daily driver so will see more of the harsh conditions over the winter. http://i56.tinypic.com/22yecn.jpg I put a layer on the whole car, and decided to buff it off using the machine with a buffing bonnet over a soft pad as i know this stuff is pretty hard going when buffing by hand. To say i was shocked is an understatement, the gloss and depth to the colour was incredible, it literally lit up and just looked almost plastic if that makes sense? I am very impressed anyway and looking forward to hearing how long it lasts as it should be months. Here are the pics anyway - Also please accept my apologies about the amount, i was just so impressed i couldn't stop taking photo's.....
