Running engine - mounting

Is there an easy way to run an engine in without having any mounts?

Our car isn't built yet, neither are the mounts but we need to run the engine in ASAP. Would cable ties to some wood be ok?

Not really mate, you need the engine in the car to be able to get it under load. I would say one of the most important things is running the engine correctly :thumbsup:

tried this, ok it works but it's not half as good as running it in on a car, that's offcourse my personal opinion. If you need it asap ask a friend to mount the engine and do it (or do it with his car)

i used to run my engines in by putting them on a plane motor mount which was screwed to a block of wood with a fuel tank taped to it. stick the assembly in a workmate, i used an 8 by 4 prop as the load, worked an absolute treat, just watch your fingers!!
