returneee
Well, I returned to Schuey at the weekend using the CAT SX2 at the Ardent winter series.
I had electical problems most of the day followed by a broken servo so had to use a less powerful version for the end of the day, which made turning through tight corners somewhat of a problem :eh?:. But when the car was running well it was awesome. So easy to drive. I don't know what I've been missing for the last year and a half! Can't wait to get it to worksop in Jan now!:) One question. Why don't people use servo saver on them? |
Blimey didn't expect you back with Schumacher, why the change?
I sold my SX at the weekend and now thinking  Ran a Savox 1258 in my SX and it was brilliant, had lots of probs with my Sanwa, but that's because it's slightly too small for the mountings. |
more the point why dont they come with them. im sure there is at least one other schumacher car they could have robbed one from keeping trends and all.

Might would consider getting GM servo with same specs nowdays. |
servo savers are for gays,:)

I broke 1 servo arm crashing at kiddy during a practice day. I'm now more comfortable with the car, I crash less, never broke anything since.
Everyone I know who's bought a SX2 has now replaced the steering rack with the alloy upgrade since this breaks first it seems. |
I have the alloy arms. If I can't get a servo saver working right, then I may consider fitting the plastic steering, just to save a £60 servo.
I did run one on the replacement servo, but it was an old one, and i think it was just a bit to soft and couldn't hold the turning forces. So a stronger saver may work. Quote:

I agree, the durango is very well engineered but you have to be a engineer to get it running right. My cat and cougar are smooooth as silk

I didnt realise you were back running the Cat until Greg pointed it out midway through the afternoon, car looked pretty good Tel

Cheers Bazza, just need to get the electrical gremlins sorted. :(

Without shooting myself in the foot a metal geared servo is the way forward just make sure you choose the right one................there are a few that are not perfect and will cause you problems stick with what most people use! |
