LIPOs for 511
What LIPOs are people using as I have some Orions from my FS / Durango and they don't fit :(
|
Are they hitting the bulkhead?
|
Too high to fit under top deck. Orion 4500s, pretty tall.
Looks like I may sell them with kyosho or Durango. |
Speed power.

Also good starting point re dimensions. Assume 4200s? |
yep!!! they the ones. and in response to your pm...no im not using them...
|
Ok cheers, better save up for a set for Petit along with all the spares - £££
Orion LIPOs now to be added to the for sale list! |
I am using the GM lipo's 42OO 35 c and have no problems. the new 5000 plus paks will fit in there aswel and not that expensif
|
Im using the orion lipo's? there's about 2/3mm between them and the top deck. You sure that there not hitting the centre bulkhead? as you have to cut away part of it for almost any lipo as im aware? It even says to do so in the instructions of the 511 lipo retainer :)

With the Reedy 4900 35 C Efra spec you have to use dremel on the center bulkhead and a short screw and after it work pretty well
|
Just got the car and not planning on dremeling anything for the moment.

They won't fit between the posts, I'll take it a part later and go from there. |
Going to order fredrick's lipo craddle and diff covers. Think that should solve it :)
|
Hi Mikey,
I run the orion saddles on my 511 and yes fredrick's lipo craddle solves it by moving the lipos back by a few millimetres. Fabs |

Intellect 4200 saddle packs fit in just fine without modifications.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...poFitLarge.jpg Just add spacers to the battery stay posts to raise them up. Although I've since added Fredrick's cradle it wasn't really necessary (but it is nice). |
