when ive been ive not seen any, the only time i have is when the NE regional was on and the cool guy who takes his shop to the NE rounds was there.

im sure rob can answer your question properly however as he is a regular at bury.

RobHatcliffe 11-05-2006 06:16 PM

Sorry Craig, Roger does stock some items in his cabin, but not wheels or inserts.

Unlike the NE regional I doubt that there will be a mobile shop there on Sunday.

You're leaving it a bit late if you're planning to race on Sunday mate :o

Give Pete at Bolton Models a ring, he may have some and I know you live up that way.

There is a small shop in Castleton called Newhey models, this shop is often forgotten about but it usually has stock of essentials. If you cant be rescued by mailorder, it may be worth driving to Castleton (near Rochdale) on Saturday.

MikePimlott 12-05-2006 09:31 AM

The guy who takes the shop to NE regionals said he was going to do the NW one at Bury Sunday. So you should be ok.

sefton 12-05-2006 10:31 AM

Cool!

I've got some brand new tyres & wheels, but they have a small rip in one of the tyres...probably ok for a few races? if not I've got my spares now minus some inserts if they dont turn up Saturday.

Craig.

Just carefully glue the rip in the tire, it'll be alright!

If your inserts don't turn up, just come and see me Sunday, I'll have spares to loan I'm sure.

sefton 12-05-2006 02:13 PM

Cheers mate, what car are you pitting from?

Craig.

P.S. If someone would be so kind to solder some male corally's for me it would be a massive help as I dont have a iron yet!

Thanks again guys!

Spencer Mulcahy 12-05-2006 03:35 PM

Ok doesnt look like the inserts will be here, might need to buy the insert you offered Oscar if you dont mind?

I also have another slight problem:rolleyes: as well as the inserts and male corally's...

I ordered 4 packs of cells ready built with corally's, but they did'nt fit into my b4 (my fault for not specifying which car it was for). So a model shop resoldered them to fit. But when the battery bar wouldnt fit over them so I hacked the battery bar here and there. Some packs fitted and others didnt, so a kind chap down at Bury metro resoldered the corally's to fit. But he also sugested I buy a new battery bar as the hacked one wasnt that stong now. I have a new battery bar now but it wont fit over any of the packs now:(

I think the hacked bar will last for a while anyway!

I've seen a iron on Apex 50wt for £45 (god the missis is going to kill me)

Does anyone know of any good irons that cost less?

Thanks again

Craig.

I got a 60w 240v iron off ebay for a few quid.. none of this 45 quid nonsense.. I wouldnt mind a 12v to take to races but its not that important..

jimmy 13-05-2006 01:55 PM

That looks similar to mine, 8 quid. I also dont bother with that expensive solder others swear by, I just bought a roll down b&q.

I have my motors on deans connectors (and cells too) so I can change motors at the track without any soldering..
