this week end i race my new 511 on carpet with very higt grip, the car is perfect but i only have a problem with the spur gear, i break two of tamiya 91 T, i don't think it normal

Did u break ur spur gear or did it melt?
I have melted a spur on my 501x because i set the slipper to loose!

I have broken a fair few spurs during 2010. It was only caused by hard braking though. One track in particular was hard on them with a 60mph straight to a 5-10mph hairpin. As you can imagine, the braking (on carpet) was fairly heavy and it stripped a few spurs. Because of this, I've bought a few delrin spurs from 3racing which should last a fair bit longer and the price is nearly the same. I have yet to find RW spurs that fit the 511, but I'm quite sure they're out there. I just havent found them yet.

I think ashley caunt on here has some rw ones for sale.
personally i have never had any issues at all with the std ones. Ran a new car yesterday and that spur was sweet too, nice and quiet:D

Yes PM Andrew Caunt he had a batch made of the 91T RW ones.

I run AE 87T personally, never any problems.

i break teeth in hard breaking !

i think it's special track, very hight grip and aa lot of breaking part with a very big one, but when you are in very good round and heard a very bad noise in middle and don't finish you are not very happy

i'll looking for the rw in ebay, they are probably easier to found for me than the tamiya !
