Reedy 6100KV Brushless motor and esc combo?

Hi guys, going to be getting a cougar sv soon and was wondering which speedo/esc combo to put in it. At the place I work I can get these combos quite cheap and yeah, I know everyone will say put a speed passion in it but we don't stock speed passion so has anybody ever used this?

Not tried it with the 6100kV motor, but its the same ESC as the B4.1 Brushless RTR comes with. In which case its a fairly normal, unremarkable sensorless controller. Its reliable enough, but not especially smooth.
That is the problem though - 2wd's especially need smooth. Also a 6100kV motor is a lot of poke for a 2wd - equivalent to a good 6.5t, but again not as smooth.
So whilst it would work, its far from ideal. The 4900kV version would be more suitable.

Reedy

Only problem I've found while running the 6100 system in my TC is that the system doesn't always power up properly when switched on and needs to be switched off and on a few times before the system comes to life ( throttle and motor start to work ).
I run a futaba 4pk and 604 rx so no problems with radio.

Bit annoying if you grab the car and are in a hurry to get to the start line.
