York Vintage championship dates

Here are the (penciled in) dates for the Vintage championship at York:

Round 1 - Saturday 3rd November
Round 2 - Saturday 1st December
Round 3 - Saturday 2nd Feburary
Round 4 - Saturday 1st March
Round 5 - Saturday 5th April

Rules:

Cars must be 1990 or earlier.
NO minipins, any other tyres are ok.
Vintage electronics are always a nice bonus!
Make sure you have fun!!!! :D

Classes and motor rules to be determined.

Please register your interest here if you would like to compete in this championship. The number of people entering will determine if we can run split classes.

Please no - I think we should do this......., or I want to do this....... in this thread. Please just register your interest. Stu started a thread for coments like that.

Thanks,

Graham

Possibly if i can get a car sorted

WHITTLER555 05-10-2007 04:14 PM

Yes - 4WD

super__dan 05-10-2007 05:02 PM

yes, running 2 cars 2wd and 4wd

mattym0310 05-10-2007 05:45 PM

yes running 2wd

Northy 05-10-2007 05:48 PM

I'd like to run 2wd and 4wd if we have two classes, I think Jim will too.

Sounds good, I'll be usiing the ProCat assuming its 19T, would not bother if its 27T.

Stu 08-10-2007 09:55 PM

I'll run 19t as first priority, no doubt it will be 4wd. If there is enough for a second heat I'll have a go with a second car, 2wd probably with a proper period 27t.

So with Jim I make that 6 people Including Jim (as I think Matty was selling his car?), so looks like it will be just one heat of mixed chassis (1 and 4wd), up to 19 turn motors?

It seems like, and after all the people that said they were up for it before, quite dissapointing really!!!

bretts 15-10-2007 02:34 PM

sounds just like the interclub:(

jimarea51 15-10-2007 03:11 PM

Hello!!!

I'm defo up for it:D

I'll probabley run 2WD 19t, although would have liked to run 4WD aswell but only if there had been enough for two heats.... These old cars need a lot of attention between rounds (NOT)...

I've just been watchin' 19t motors on't'bay, they just disappeared before the listings were up - that’s poo.

Plenty more though.

My 4wd has arrived, 1987 worlds winner. :)

In terms of numbers if it's like last year that will be fine, would be nice to have 2 heats though.

BTW, the Aces is on Sunday the 4th - Stew has said we can have a dedicated vintage heat if we want - who's up for that?
Maybe some of the folks from further a-field would be more likely to come up to race if it was a Saturday & Sunday race weekend.

The force is not strong with the vintage what you need is a new young jedi to run along side you and lap you. My apprentice "Obi won Jemison" will take care of that with his 540 powered CR!

Chrislong 15-10-2007 08:49 PM

Hey, Ben is actually rather quick with his 540 powered CR, it'd be a great contest!

Would it be a race of turtle vs the tortoise? the hares are in the other heats! :D
