Glue - carbon fibre?

Thought I would glue an old slightly cracked front shock tower to a new front shock tower to fit on our ZX-5.

Would superglue be the way to go, or - will have bolts passing through it anyway, just thought it may help. Cheers mick.

In the past with Schumacher Cats, ive just put two together, but glueing it would be fine too and add a little more strength. Just make sure it is all lined up, perhaps put some screws through one, glue then put the 2nd in place and it'll be perfect, plus put your nuts on it while the glue sets.

Just make sure you don't get glue on your nuts... it can be painful :o

As a Carbon Fibre Technician, here is a tip. Make sure that you sand the two faces that you are intending to glue together. Just rub it enough to take the shine off the surface. This will give the glue a good 'key' for the glue to bond to.

Thanks guys, thread begining to stray a bit, so superglue, over the top but is this the stuff to use, or should I be looking at an epoxy.

Yes mick, super glue should be fine, i would consider using an atomic front tower and a kit plastic one i really have struggled to break this combo myself. even driving at CML
