Tyre Additive for Buggies Indoors?

I've been caught up a bit with this whole recession thing and was thinking about trying rubber tyre carpet additive on my almost slick yellow minipins to see if I can stretch their life span a little. It made a huge difference to my touring car and I was wondering if anyone has tried it for a buggy? I run on an all carpet Prima Felt GT track with some wooden jumps. Any idea would be very welcome!

Ive used addative to resurect some old yellows that had dried out but Ive never tried it as a performance enhancer.

As far as I know Shuey yellows use a natural rubber compound which I think is the same as TC tyres so I'm guessing that it would work.

When I did a bit of carpet TC racing the problem I found with addative is that when somebody used it the track became super slippy for everyone who wasn't using it. Not 100% sure why this was but it nearly ruined my race when one of the guys put it on without us knowing. So its probably not a good idea.
