Wheel airholes
What happends if you make them bigger or add more?
|
I would open them up enough that the tyre regains it's shape immediately after you squeeze it. Been a while since I glued up some tyres but a couple of holes around 3mm diameter should be OK.
|
I put bigger holes in my rims and all it did was let all the dirt in when I ran them outside. Now I just put 4 holes in the tyres and Ive never had any problems. Plus it lets them drain if they get water in :)
|
+1 On tyre's I always-Tape up the rim hole's. And put 2 holes in the tyre.. so if any dirt/water was to get in. Centrifugal force would throw the dirt and debris out.. and most of the water too.
If the hole is in the rim-Its not coming out.. no matter what.. |
So what about indoor, because your all talking about outdoor?
I only run indoor, i actually run 2 x 8mm holes in my rims found this to be perfect tbh. |
I do the same for indoor too :)
|
I have never run indoor-But would probe do the same.. tbh.. the tire seems to get back into shape faster if holes are in the tyre.. from my experience
