A quick Pred question
 

Hi guys, i am getting back into the sport after a very long time away and am thinking long and hard about getting a Pred, i am leaning toward the X10, is this still a viable option, ie performance, spares etc. Also, how "hard" a car is it for a novice to own,thanks for any advice, Chris. :)

I had an x10 for a while and when it was running it was easily the best 4wd buggy i have driven. The trouble was the parts are brittle and were forever breaking, and all the parts seem to come with "pants down" prices.
If youre just coming back to the hobby then id look elsewhere to be perfectly honest. If you can find a good un and in the right hands the preds are an excellent weapon on track, but be prepared to be constantly looking after it. I prefer to spend more time racing than rebuilding.
If i were starting back id probably get a b44- parts are cheap and everywhere, it needs very little setup changes from one track to another and its built very well. Hope this helps

That's not the case with the X11, it needs exactly the same care as any other race car, less is some cases.

when i run a x11 for a season i didnt have a problem with the car i changed the drive shaft buds a couple of times but thats a easy job infact i enjoyed it that much ive bought enougher ;) and its now a choice between x11 and a attomic carbon s4

gota be my x11 sorry your x11 shane hope you enjoy the pred its awsome hope you agree. i ran my old x11 for 18moths or so never had a pick of botha had my best season ever with the pred look after it and it ill look after you

jep that's true the pred is a car in my opinion that isn't the easiest way but it's fabulous when it's in perfect condition :)
