Do you mean the diff itself (so left to right) that has a tight spot or is it the gearbox (diffring against bevel gear) that has a tight spot?

its the ring gear and the bevel gear i think.also is the bevel gear which comes out the gear box.should it have any play in it? thanks

I had the same problem. I even changed the bevel gear. What you should do is to try all compinations of gears (bevel and ring) and differential cases until you find the best compination. Additionally try to shim the dif. with more than one shims.
I finally made it work fine after all those compinations. Even if the noise remains, after a couple of rounds the diff will break in.

(Sorry for my english)
