losi bk2 or b4 factory team?

i am looking to start 2wd but i find myself in a bit of a dilema, losi bk2 or the associated b4 factory team? which is better!?

depends on how you like your car to handle and whether you like working to get it setup or happy to have a car that will go well on a general setup almost everywhere.

in my own experience, the losi is the easier car to start with, its more consistant and forgiving and can pull the lap time youl want when you get more in to it.

its all down to preference, the b4 has alot of steering, whilst the bk2 has alot of rear end grip.

the xxxcr from losi is not far away, though which i expect to be very good after making a 'hybrid' version which is very similar to the CR

B4 for me, I've only had a 'go' on a bk2, but I dont think it gets better than a B4 for the normal racer at the moment, its just a great car.

The BK2 is used by chris long, and. I cant think of anyone else off hand that uses it. Maybe paul rotheram but thats only because he broke his hybrid !:p
Everyone else seems to use a heavily modified version of the car - similar to the new XXXCR thats on its way. That looks a lot better car, nice plastic parts !

At the end of the day, there probably wont be that much in the two, performance wise. Losi always have more expensive spares, so if you are going to be breaking things then its something to consider.

oioi, i only had to run my bk2 once, the hybrid is back in action :)

;)

I overheard (ok, I was loitering around the Losi tent) some un-named big lads (super star drivers) saying how they are happy with the losi 2wd now, and have a setup that works without drastic changes between tracks.
Seemed pretty confident like.
And of course Danny McGee won the tiverton national this weekend using the XXXCR prototype.

And i got my best 2wd result to date with my XXX-CR (pretty much) car :D

xxx-cr is pretty damn good, I found it hard work to get in the A in the 'bumpy' new Tiverton for the last few years with the BK2, xxx-cr proto this year was completely different, I even TQ'ed a round in the very bumpy round 3.
