IP vs Orion?

Deciding weather to get Ip or Orion cells?

IP 5200 45C
Orion 4500 45C

Iv heard some people staying away from IP cells? not sure

The Orion cells are very good, probably be running Orion myself next season (waiting for the 2011 list before buying cells ... only sensible choice unless you need them NOW).

That said I know a couple of people who use IP cells with no issue. I think the bad name is left over from their explosive NiMh cells, that said I had no issue with those personally either.

I think the main thing with any form of RC battery is to look after them and charge them at no more than 1C and all should be fine.

I would say buy from the UK as I've heard of quite a few cases of people having iffy LiPos that have needed replacement in a very short time. A UK shop is much more likely to be able to help quickly and at lower cost to you than somebody in Asia.

Im in australia, so our racing season starts about it (spring).. Going to buy 2 saddle packs.

I can get both the orion and ip at around the same price, so deciding which one ill go for. The capacity of the IP are much higher though, but iv only heard good things about the Orion cells.

What class are you running?

Capacity is almost irrelevant tbh.
I'm racing 4wd off road (indoors) and have never used for than 1700mah in a 5 min race with a 6.5 motor.
btw I run IP 4200 30c saddle packs. In off road you'll never need more power.

Offroad Mod.

But might move into stock.

I will be using them as practice packs aswell. I only got 1 pack atm.
