mad rat or xpro
i am looking to get my first ever new rc car
after seeing how a macnum handles our track i am thinking of going ansmann i already own a converted lightning 10b so have a ezrun 60a esc and 5.5t motor is the x pro worth the extra doller or should i upgrade as things break? thanks mike |
the only real upgrades the madrat needs are alloy shocks and a bearing set.
a pair of second hand B4 shocks are ideal and should work out a bit cheaper than the X-pro. Just depends on your budget really. If you can afford an X-pro then get one as it has a few extra upgrades on it that make it a better all round package. |
With JE Spares selling the X Pro for £80, it's a great deal over the Mad Rat - bearings, turnbuckles, motor plate and shocks add up to far more than £30 of upgrades.

Yep, for £80 Get the xpro, as said, bearings are £10, shocks around £30 then turnbuckles another £15-£20...
Plus you can choose your own paint scheme |
Yes the X pro it's better. And you can find setup with the good shocks.

thanks for the advice the x pro looks like the one.
as our track is outdoors my electric is going into storage for the winter whilst i race my 1/8th nitro is there a new version of the x pro expected soon i should hold out for? thanks again mike |
wow, didn't realise it had dropped to £80!! i thought it was still £130 ish!
d'oh! |
For the moment no new car.
One middle motor will be arrived but we don't know when. And I'm sur it's the best for indoor race. The X pro will arrived with more option and the name will be X2 TE (Team Edition). This will be to by Ansmann but no news, and i don't see her in UK , germany or france. The X pro is a really good car |
