B4 Slim Front Wheels

Can someone help !

I've got to fit some Shummy Slim Front Tyres to my B4.1, i've been told to just cut the outer edge of the wheel and glue the tyre to the inside rib of the wheel !

Is this right ?

or

Is their a 3rd party supplier that makes a slim front wheel to fit the B4's

thanks for your time
Dez

Which tyres are they? The only ones I'm aware of that don't fit are staggers.

There's a thread here dsicussing it http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44601

I don't think anyone does make a thinner wheel.

No dont cut the outside rim off or you`;; have no wheel:eh?:
Cut the inside rim off then the tyre fits perfect. Done this to mine and you dont need to glue them either. I havnt and theyve not come off

You could try U3766 from Schumacher - this is the narrow wheel for the cougar, and will fit the b4.

Yes, they are the same, should all be a direct fit.

Hi,

I just got some Shummy Yellow Minipins today and they fit strait on my b4.1 wheels easily I didnt need to cut anything. The model number was U6607. In fact there so snug im not even sure i need to use glue on the fronts.

Hope that helps

U6607 are the front 4WD tyres !

the fronts i used are the U6609 Slim 2WD Fronts

I had oversteer with the slim fronts, don't know what the 4WD fronts will do to the front end of the B4.1?

Are they? They fit perfect. I cant get to my local club for a couple of weeks but ill let you know how they run. They seem exactly the same size as the tyres that came on my RTR b4.1 apart from they were minipins and other fronts are ribbed.

Hmmm... Maybe there is not diffrence with the tyre its just the wheels that are diffrent?

Im gonna be pissed off with modelsport if they dont run ok since i specifically stated it was a 2wd b4.1 i need them for .

Ribs tend to be wider than "slim" 2wd fronts.

Right was at local club and was using those 4wd tyres on the front of my b4.1 (as was misold them and didnt want to waste them).

They seem to work really well actually, I thought it might be a nightmare but was quite cool with the slightly wider fronts. I am not that good as new to this RC stuff but I started to do really well with them was even leading the last race I was in till my front bulkhead shattered =C from and earlier smash.

was great fun tho lol
