Mounting Servos

Hi guys

I'm trying to tidy up an old TT01, the electrics in particular. I wanted to know the best way to mount the MSC servo?
I have an acoms unit that has a bracket for the MSC to sit above it, however it originally came with just a sticky pad to secure it to the side of the chassis. The pad is knackered but never really held it in place securly anyway.

Any thoughts?

A couple of self tappers and some plastic spacers... just avoid the copper strips on the back of the MSC when drilling through...! OR better still... join the 21st century and get an electronic speed controller(ESC)..!

Don't think you're going to find anyone here even familiar with what a Mechanical Speed Control is, let alone anybody that's using one.

Ditto the previous post - "join the 21st century and get an electronic speed controller(ESC)..!"

OK, just re-read your post... I think you are seeking a stable mount for the MSC servo, not the MSC, is that right..? If so, xray, tamiya to name but two, have servo posts that are secured via screws through the chassis base, then your MSC servo will attach to the top/side of these... I'm sure something along those lines would be suitable... :D

Yeah emtee, that's right. Sorry for not being clear - the msc has its own mounting tray that secures to the end of the servo. What I'm trying to work out is the best way to secure the servo to the chassis.

As for joining the 21st century, surely that'd mean ditching the TT01 too! ;)
