Fusion Chargers

Has anyone used this brand, how good are they and how accurate are the balancers etc?

DaveG28 16-10-2010 03:01 PM

Anyone at all?

I've used the Fusion LX60B for a year or so now, does everything it needs to and has a built-in 240v supply as well as 12v croc clips.

Never had a problem with it at all, balance's fine and the software is easy to use.

Good, solid charger :)

Never used a Fusion Dave. Dont know if you have bought one yet but i run one of these.

Its superb, will show you at the Players if you`re interested.

Up to 15A charge rate per side, tells you % capacity remaining, balances to 1/1000th of a volt if i recall correctly.

Store mode

Programmable memories for each side that save themselves etc etc

Dave, I think the LX60B is essentially a repackaged Bantam BC6. I've been using the Bantam for a couple of years now with no problems and I know a few who use the fusion aswell.

I really like mains power Rich but was also looking at:

http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/hype...w-p-11001.html

Really, am looking for:

Mains power
Accuracy of balance board
Ability to discharge quicker than 1A, at the moment it takes 3 hours to put my 2wd lipo in storage mode!!!

Do Hyperion have a good rep?

All the top line chargers seem to be 12V only. Im not too sure why this is but its never been a problem for me as i already have a decent PSU. In truth the Hyperion top line models do way more than is required for what we need. I think that they are big in flying circles. I guess if you have a charger that charges at 5A then its enough for what we do, the ability to charge at faster rates just helps for the future. The Hyperion also has USB interface for firmware updates via the main site. Takes about 5 or 6 mins to put my lipos into store mode after they have done 1 run.

The ability to charge one whilst storing another or charge two different types at the same time is the main reason i got mine.

More info here. The + is the latest version.

Cheers mate, the 720 has 90w on the mains supply which is better than most mains, so hopefully enough for what I need! Are they a good manufacturer/brand??

Well ive never heard anything bad about them. Spoken to a few racers who told me they were quality before i bought mine but please Google the model you`re looking at before takng the plunge.

In fact, hang on until next weekend cos i think i can talk you into the dual one and a PSU ;) They were selling off the EOS615i duo III ( not the + latest model ) cheaply somewhere i saw recently. I`ll try and find them again.
