Help with battery straps

Hi all

I need some battery straps to convery my Schumacher Cat98 to take Lipo saddles as the nicd straps don't fit a lipo. So I was wondering if some of you fellow saddle pack users would be able to measure the length of your saddle straps and post the results on this thread as well as the make of thr car, the model and if possable the part number for the straps.

The measurements need to be from the center of each mounting hole and in millimeters would be better.

Thanks very much

Josh

Can you just washer up the bottom of the supports to get more wrap around? That's what I did when using the Schumacher straps on my X5. Or when new the sraps were actually long enough to go over 4 cells but everyone cut them back for 3, so as new they are a lot longer (perhaps too long to be fair.

Thanks Dan i'll try that as the straps are still long enough but I would prefer carbon straps and proper battery posts as there will be less chance of them coming undone.

Straps

Associated have straps and posts with thumb screws not sure of part numbers off the top of my head but a search on google or thro a model shops b44 spares section , they even have a tray but not sure if this will be usable for you. The only problem is the threads will be imperial but maybe you can live with that ! Hope this helps
