Buying New 4WD Buggy Help :-)

Hi All,

I already own a 2WD Team Associated B4.1

In the process I have blown things up and bought spares etc... Most recently I bought a new NOSRAM ESC and 6.5T motor, which works great. I also ordered a ESC + 8.5T from Ebay (China or somewhere), but now its just sat around.

I'm wanting to get a cheap 4WD buggy, so I can race 2 classes and get more practice in. I'm thinking Ansmann is best for cheapy. I know they are not the greatest but I don't care, its just for practice.

Anyhow the real question is this, Can I use my radio transmitter to run both buggies or do I need a radio for every car I will eventually own?

Thanks

If you have a transmitter with a multiple model memory, you can use it with as many models as you like, assuming it is on the same frequency and has compatible receivers in the cars.

You could even do it with a transmitter with no memory, but changing the trims and settings manually every time you want to run a different model will get boring pretty quickly.

The added benefit of a transmitter with model memory is that they tend to be higher quality as well.

I would really consider getting a B44 instead of an Ansmann buggy because of the parts compatability. It may be bit more expensive but will be a lot more competitive.

Ok,

Here are my options, please don't tell me that paying a bit more will get better cars etc... I realise this but not interested in paying any more than £100 for a kit.

Tamiya Rising Storm Buggy - £93
Ansmann Racing Master Smacker - Kit - £59
Ansmann Racing Royal Flash - Kit - £59
Maverick Strada XB 1/10th RTR Electric Buggy - £93.99

What do you think? Looking for which out of these is best?

Thanks

Don't rule out the Ansmann - an X4 pro made it through to the A final at Worksop this weekend. Although Ansmann don't yet have the same racing pedegree as Associated, these cars are seriously competetive and are bloody good value.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

However, if you can stretch an extra £7, you can get one of these:

That looks pretty good for the money. Very bmax4 like! I agree with trying to get a cheap B44 so you can use parts. I got a fantastic B44 with loads of hop-ups and some spares for £150 so it is worth looking around.
