Mardave & 1s LiPo

what sort of rollout (pinion/spur) when using 1s lipo compared to 4 cell should I use?

I'd be interested in this also, what brushless speedo and motor are you using mate or are you going old school ?

We are finding using the Mardave brushless system that id we use 80% of full power for 4 cell, and 100% for 1S lipo, they are as close as you will get.

Try and find out what the guys from Ardent are running performance wise, as they are usin 13.5 with 1S, seems to be a popular mix that we will hopefully incorporate into the Mardave National Series next year.

Are they running a seperate battery or a battery eliminator for the receiver with the mardave speedo ?

13.5t on a 0' timing speedo is quicker than the yokomo 23t motor we've used in previous years in the Scottish Carpet Champs, add a boosted speedo in to the mix and things just get silly. Sadly there were no mardave brushless systems to compare it against the week I tried this setup but I don't think there would be a huge difference apart from the 13.5t would allow you to run a sensored speedo which is a big plus in my book.

For a 13.5 on 1s lipo i would start with 18/46 for around ardent and hinckley.
(Gm 13.5 + lrp sphere original)
Now i have a tekin rs in it and now using 16/48

The new hobby wing speedo is probably the best solution at the moment. http://www.pit-bitz.com/product_info...roducts_id=744 doesnt need a life batter or booster and can be programmed and software updated.

Out of stock almost countrywide but back in stock Tuesday!

I tried using the G2 Brushless and found it a little too much, i'm usint the novak Havok 13.5 combo and its so much better, more contollable. using 16 to 48 and its quite quick.

You will find great wealth of info on www.rccircuitcars.com as we have mega dave who has been doing these cars for over 25yrs with some wicked mods in the mardave section as well pop in its totaly free site with a live chatroom as well

i would bother with the mardave g2 brushless on 1s tbo, out f 7-8 weeks of owning the combo only got to make 2 nights (sent away for repairs/softwhere changes fr rest of time) 1st night had prob up to 5sec of cogging everytime from standstill, and the 2nd time i used it poped a capcitor, and still cogging even thou softwer was changed twice from orginal. i was usin the g2gt, witch is the same as g2 just with a 540 motor. i now have just got a gm120 to try tomorrow with the p2 10.5 motor and 2s. a 1s 13.5 is about the same as a good brushed g2, but.... not to good when ur club has unlited rules and running next to 2s tekins, our fastest dave was 1 sec down compaired to tc fastest. very surprising what such cheap basic cars can do :-)

If it's with the new g2 4slot motors i would sat a 15/50 to start off with on a new set of rear tyres :)
