Speed Passion V3.0 Competition BL 13.5T

got one of this Speed Passion V3.0 Competition BL 13.5T,tried together with a Nosram Matrix Evolution esc and a SP v1.1 esc and i cannot get any reasonable punch from it.
it feels like is always cruising and not real punch out of corners. The punch settings on the esc's are at max.
the timing in the motor endbell is on the middle.
any tips on what i can do?
thanx

move the timing on the can to the right

dont forget its only a 13.5t and not that pokey to start with. If its in a buggy you might want to try something like a 7.5t or 8.5t for more punch and overall speed.

What car? What gear ratio? I suspect you need to gear up.

Neither of the ESC's you have has a timed stock profile, so compared to cars running them it will always feel a bit slower in the top end.

I personally run that very motor in my touring car. On the zero-timing profile (similar to how your ESC's run), you can keep going up a tooth on the pinion and the punch just gets better and better. I'm at around 5.6:1 on a small indoor track now, will be going down below 5.0:1 for the medium sized track at the Chippenham CWIC .

I run a 10.5 in my Cat geared at 9.14:1 and mine feels pretty punchy with a SP LFP speedo set around the middle settings for punch and timming. End can is in the middle.

the motor is in a touring car and gear ratio 6.3 for a very small indoor track.
i will go up on the tooths pinion and let you know guys.

btw dont want to start a new thread for a simple question:
example
in my car
spur of 100 tooth + a 50 tooth pinion gives a ratio of 4.111.
then
spur of 96 tooth + a 48 tooth pinion still give a ratio of 4.111.

my question is :would i get same punch and speed from both example with different spur+pinion combination wile retaining the same 4.111 ratio?
hope you understand what i mean lol.
thanx

Some people might say it makes a difference, but with the amount of power these brushless motors make I can't see it making a difference, the change in inertia is so small. The bigger difference is the motor moving and changing the car balance.

Swapped to a SP V3 13.5 from a Hacker 13.5 on Sunday and immediately had to go up one tooth in my B44. Lots more punch and cooler running even indoors on a tight track (FORCC).
