Tamiya sand scorcher
 
I have an orignal sand scortcher if I build it back to original kit speck what's it worth I could do with some cash for a deposit on a car and really don't wanna let the car go cheep

Now they have re released the new one which is the same.The values of old ones have dropped a lot.

yes its is the same bar the shell as the old version has "drip" rails on the outside and the nose cone was different too.
but the value has come down alot and until tamiya discontinue it i would hold on to it.

If you put it on the specific tamiya club site, (www.tamiyaclub.com), I reckon you'll get more for it.. I've got the new re-release and built up 2 of the old ones.. As the true tamiya collectors will tell you, the similarities between the re-re and the original are only face deep, underneath they are quite different so 'collectors' will still pay the extra for the original (imho)..

Wait 2 years or so, the re-re buzz should wear off some by then.

Old Shell
 
I agree, hold on to it. The old shells in my opinion are better. The wings are different and they have better features like the separate door handles. Comparing my Re Re with a mates original, there's more attention to detail on his. So keep hold if you can and the price of the originals will surely start to rise again.
