Removing sticky tape from a chassis

Whats the best way to remove whats left of double sided sticky tape from a chassis. Ive tried to peel off some tape on my cougar sv and dont want to scratch the chassis by using a screwdriver or other sharp edge object to get rid of the remaining stuff. It was the white double sided tape i had used and it leaves some fluffy white rubbish behind that looks horrible.
Is there an easy way or am i going to have to rub with my thumb and get a blister?

I always heat the area with a hairdryer , then it just rubs off with your finger

Brake cleaner. Spray some on a rag and just give it a rub. Usually about 20 seconds max and all will be removed

I use builders `WonderWipes` They clean everything from sticky to shock oil. They come in a tub like babywipes

What I find works best to not to put yourself in that situation in the first place so, what I normally do, is put electrical tape on both surfaces, (some on the chassis, some on the bottom of the speedo / receiver) then use servo tape, and you then just have to remove the electrical tape from each, which sticks just as well, but leaves less mess.

Lighter fluid works a treat as well.

Buy good quality double sided tape and it will stay in one piece when removing it, never had an issue with this!
Maplins do huge rolls for less than a fiver!
