Still available, and ship to US?

moth898 28-12-2010 05:12 PM

you have to contact mk through their website via e-mail because his automated checkout doesn't include US or Canada. He will ship it no matter how you pay, no worries there.

tight tolerences, a little too tight when fitting the bearings but I guess thats more of a plus than minus. The gears installed in the aluminium gear housing using acer bearing are mint, the car whistles around the track. Worth the money in my opinion, cost me 45 canadian shipped I think.

I have used mine and they are superb, got an alloy gearbox coming and after the answer RC gearbox bearing kit once Marc has them back in stock

Raul Garcia 28-12-2010 05:26 PM

Well I have the alloy housing already, and also have alloy outer gears too. So the only parts I want are the layshaft and idler for inside the case.

mikeyscott 28-12-2010 05:31 PM

Yup Neil does a cracking job with the gears etc :)

very nice peace of kit, just fitted mine,i just wondered why they have gone to all the trouble of making the idler gear when the kit one is metal, would it not have been better leaving out that one and making the one that fits on the layshaft out of metal, that way all the gears would be metal:thumbsup:.........still as i say its a nice peace of kit:wub

We tested with an alloy idler but the delrin lasted longer. If you look at the kit idler, it is cast not machined so not very good quality, plus with all metal, the gearbox was noisey.
