3vcs mode

Just added the 2.4 module to my 3vcs to replace the spektrum stuff. Should the transmitter be running in PPM or HRS?

bodgit 16-09-2010 03:27 PM

Got mine set to ppm

Dazzler 16-09-2010 03:34 PM

Mine is set to hrs... which I believe takes advantage of the higher response speed . Something the Futaba 2.4 is capable of utilising. But i'll stand corrected if anyone knows different.

blue_pinky 16-09-2010 03:45 PM

I have mine set to HRS for the same reason as Dazzler, using the same futaba module/receiver. Both work fine with the futaba 2.4ghz stuff as far as I know!

HRS mode didn't work on the Spektrum receivers I had before.

Big G 16-09-2010 04:10 PM

Mine's on PPM, but I have futaba mod/receiver. My receiver is the orange one whereas my module is the blue one. do I have the slower piece in my tranny? I checked with a friends orange one and the part numbers are the same :S

Is it FAAST by Futaba?

If so and you have a digital servo then yes use HRS

Body Paint 16-09-2010 06:48 PM

You can use either with the Futaba 2.4g but as Dan points out you should only use HRS if you have digital servos

Big G 16-09-2010 07:14 PM

ah I only have KO 2343 in mine

MatJohnson 16-09-2010 07:59 PM

Interesting, i've got a savox low profile digital deely, so might as well use HRS.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but i have a 3vcs and cant figure out how to turn the brakes down they are far to sharp. Can anyone help. Thanks

Big G 16-09-2010 09:38 PM

turn down the ATL on the top left. that'll calm them down

It would be rude not to

Big G 17-09-2010 08:55 AM

oh. it won't let me change to HRS in the mode page strangely. maybe cos I have the blue module that isn't FAAST or something

MatJohnson 17-09-2010 09:36 AM

Are you pressing the + and - buttons together for a second? the memory changes to HRS, then turn the tranny on then off and it should be in HRS.

Still none the wise as to why to use HRS mind :)

Dazzler 17-09-2010 11:48 AM

In HRS mode, the Latency (e.g. Time from actually pushing the throttle stick forward to the time the receiver has received the signal and output the signal to the servo) is reduced.

The Spektrum Pro unit you had previously and are now selling, has a higher latency, spektrum produced a Pro DSM system which utilised HRS to reduce latency.

MatJohnson 17-09-2010 11:53 AM

Ahhh, I would be amazed if at my ability I even notice that difference :)

Ta though
