tyres for carpet

Has anyone had much running on carpet yet with sc's? What tyre is best for grip but still lasts long?

Ive got a feeling these aren't going to last, just wanting to see if any other clubs have a popular tyre!

ant,you are right about the wear rate but we wont know the difference untill some one is on well used and someone else is on brand new,iv used mine for 2 meetings, there is wear on the out side but its making the car slide on the fast corner rather than dig in and roll over, for club nights we can all agree to run a hard compound, the same tyre, and the same inserts, then what ever in the sunday thing

Yeah! I have no wear with my 10.5. That and the fact my slipper is as loose as Graham Norton's ass probably helps. :o

Which you have personal experience of I bet...:wtf:

just out of interest how much is a set of tyres for these? I am sure i heard someone last year mumbling it came to about £70 for kit ones..

Dave Dodd 21-09-2010 09:03 PM

roughly £50 - 60 a set inc rims i guess from what i've sold so far.. less than 40 if you cut the tyres off and clean the rims each time..

About 15quid for jconcepts rears (what everyone has got), which includes inserts.

Just found some 'minispikes' by fastrax for 10quid
