Advice Please
THINKING ABOUT GETTING A BUGGY !
2 QUESTIONS ! 2WD OR 4WD ? WHAT MANUFACTURER ? VIEWS:confused: WELCOME |
Whoa there fella! no need to shout ! :p
What do you want to do with it ? race or play ? and how much do you want to spend ? If you are just starting out racing buggys you can't go far wrong with a 2wd rc10B4 or the RTR version which comes with nearly everything you need. |
wanting to race wi u guys at batley buggy club
got radio gear just needing rolling chassis £100 - £150 perhaps to spend ! |
i would just get a rc10 b4 then or factory team.. or even second hand one if you can find one mate;)
|
You could probably pick up a good FT B4 on ebay for around £100.
This will set u up for racing no probs. Dont make the mistake i made when starting and use your money thats left to get some decent cells and a proper charger. |
Theres also a FT B4 in the wanted section of oOple for £150 used twice.
Have a look :thumleft: |
You mean the for sale section lol.
You can't really go wrong with a B4, easy to work on, everyone has spares, Losi's are better though :D ;) |
thanks for that , one other thing what motors do you run ?
is there different classes like touring cars ? |
Not really different classes for motors no, some clubs run with spec motors sometimes, but generally off road is modified.
In 2wd I'd get a 12x2 or there abouts. 10x2 is probably the most popular wind but I dont usually run anything that fast myself. |
Motor'll depend on your ability. As a medium skill level driver I find the less power I have the better my times over 5 mins are. I think this is particularly an offroad thing.
A good fast servo is the thing that makes the most time up, a fast motor gets you into mistakes quickly, a good servo gets you out of them quicker. |
