AGM - Date set 26/09/10

Ok Guys - We need to get this AGM business moving on.

Rog and I reckon we have it on the 26th - that 3 weeks from now. Its a normal Sunday, so we will be racing too.

The plan is to hold the AGM before the meeting, as some folks tend to head off early so holding it afterwards isn't practical

Ideally we want to get in before the Footballers block up the road, so meet up around 10 I think.

Even if the weather is crap and we don't race, we really should run the meeting. We need as many members as possible to turn up please, even if you don't stay for the meeting. Non-members are welcome to come along (and race of course) but only members can vote

Remember its YOUR club, this is YOUR chance to say how its run. Don't leave it up to the remains of the committee or it will be chaos!

Right - thats the advert done. Next up, does anyone have any issues they wish to discuss?

Dave, I think the subject of marked marshal points and visible marshals should a definite on the agenda.

Time changed to 10am.

Is there a 10am on a Sunday? Who knew?

Agm good idea si the agm will just confirm what we already know. And that is that your an idiot and the closest little chris comes to Marshall is when he stands next to someone who is marshalling. FACT!!!

Si Coe 07-09-2010 05:33 PM

Hmmm, someones in a bad mood.....

Lets keep that sort of thing out of the AGM please.

budfish 07-09-2010 06:27 PM

Which you being an idiot or lil chris ( aka shit and piss ) refuseing to Marshall ???

Si Coe 07-09-2010 06:40 PM

Not sure any of it was called for really Dave.
We mess around plenty on here and thats cool, but this is the thread for the serious stuff, so lets keep it that way.
As I've said, your concerns with regards to marshalling are at the top of the agenda as far as I'm concerned. But the AGM is to make/adjust the clubs rules, not to witch hunt.

Just to remind you Dave, technically on Sunday you failed to marshal in round 1. You missed your heat, so raced in the one you should have marshalled. So be careful where tightening the rules takes you........

club prices

i think we should put the prices up at the club £5 to race for members £6 for non members and maybe keep the current prices for juniors,i dont think you can race at any other club in the country for £3 what do you lot think??

Don't forget OAP's race FREE:p

minke 07-09-2010 07:20 PM

oap's free sounds good, provided their car stays in 1 piece

Bud - You are allowed to agree. Its only disagreement that sees you sent to the Gulag :p

I must admit, Bury is kinda cheap. Dave charges a fiver for Roundabout, Rawtenstall did as well, and Southport is similar. Only Stockport is cheaper, and they have a hall the size of a postage stamp and no amb system. Bury could afford a slight price increase without being expensive.

Like the idea about the lower Junior prices. How about a Junior points class when we go indoors? We've got a few racers with sons/daughters interested in RC but I think at the moment little Thomas feels a bit swamped out there at times. Be nice to encourage a few more with some sort of Junior cup.

Now can I convince the wife I need a Factory Team Bmax for my son so he can enter the junior cup?

dunno if i can make it sunday. think im doing the jim sandiford memorial trial
my suggestions for the agm would be
longer race times especially finals 7 or 9 min would be nice
"bump ups " in finals like 8th and 5th do eg win c final get last place on b final grid and b final winner gets last place on a final grid.
and 5 rounds is pretty cool to
i no this is heavey on batteries but it does give you a full days racing on a sunday.
bet if we started an hour earlyer it would still be done for 5 o clock
basically anything that gives us a bit more track time is good. and is a bit more rewarding in finals if you do well
also . can we have a truck class more often
and indoor racing needs jumps. big ones .
and track updates changes or improvements could be good. astro repairs. new jumps. new crash barriers. i dunno exactly but a little modification might be nice.
any way theres my suggestions
so chew on them
