Tekin 1/8 Motors
 

Hi

Tekin have a range of 1/8 scale motors for use with the RX8 ESC, at online shops these usually have the part number, the kv rating and a figure such as 1Y, 2Y, 2D, 2.5D or 3D, does anyone know what these figures represent?

'D' is a delta wind. 'Y' is a wye wind.

The wye wind is going to be a bit more efficient, the wye wind will put out more torque. A delta wound motor will put out 1.7 times the number of rpms per volt when compared to a like wye wound motor.
