Spare parts to carry for ZX-5 FS/FS2

Just wondering what parts you would recommend to carry for either the FS or FS2 to cover breakages or upgrades (alloy instead of plastic).

Also looking for suggested springs, I've seen them on here but cannot find them now.

Anyone got information on rear adjustable wishbone hangers, who makes them and availability.

Is it neccessary to upgrade to optional titanium hinge pins or turn-buckles.

Any help greatly appreciated.

the link to the springs is here: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51315

Personally i've got 2 springs either side of the kit standards so i have some choice.

With regard to spares, get a spare front shock tower or two and the usuals like hubs and which bones etc.

I just got hold of the aluminium rear hangers (LAW36 and LAW37) and they seem to be readiy available and in stock(jespares have them right now)

hope that helps.

FS is a strong car. Only things I've broken in 12 months of use are front shock towers. However I'd suggest you also get:

  1. Gear set - if you shim them right they won't break or wear & you'll still have a super free drive train, however it might take a few attempts to get the shimming right if you're new to gear transmissions
  2. Spur gear - sometimes you can get small stones stuck in it like any other 4WD car
  3. Front wishbones
  4. Front hubs & knuckle set
  5. Front inner wishbone pivot pins - sometimes they bend, or if you're very special, you manage to snap them in two places at once (you know who you are, and you still owe me a set ;))

LOL .. I do still owe you a set don't I ...

What Ian lists and the only other thing is the tower mounts which are on the gearbox casing trees ... but FS ones are built from granite anyway so not a huge issue if you don't want to carry them (change from £20 for both ends seems like a bagin to me though)
