Fastest way to change spur gear

Hey all

Is there a fast way of changing the x10 spur gear?

Sounds silly but if it happens trak side you dont get much time.

Thanks

Not really, with help from a buddy I remember replacing a spur gear in about 15 min but this was not during a racing weekend.
If you have to do it under pressure of competition alone & you know your way around the pred, you should be able to get it done in under 10 min...

if I had to do it under pressure it would take me LONGER not shorter time! I'd be losing stuff in the grass and dropping drivers on the floor and stuff..

sorry - carry on.. :D

the rear gear box can be removed VERY easy

4top screws
1motor brace screw
1 hinge pin screw
remove hinge pins

Voila, finished!

I had to change a spur gear on sunday, I was not looking forward to doing it. But after a bit of help from Northy I did it in 10 mins. So not the horror story that everybody says.:D

if you are carefull you don't need to disassemble the front and you can slide the prop shaft out of the one way.

It's easy. Ive done a full diff rebuild in 10 mins before, 8 mins is my record for a spur, and that was in the freezing cold of tivvys winter series meeting. (yes i timed because Bathy said it wasn't possible to get it done in time) :D

somebody needs to come up with a quick release wheel hub that you can stick a spur on. if it still worked with the slipper, i think it would be a hit!
