Oh and as for Nic yes he is like a demi - god for kyosho info but he is not always with you or around for help. so i renamed the file "please use when Nic is not around"
 |
LOL ... see my old chart for rate equivelents with other manufactures.
Niel, sometimes I do worry that Nick and I are a bit too encylopedic with the part numbers ... just thankful that Kyosho keep changing random ones to catch us out and prevent us from looking too much like machines :D Looking foward to remembering a load of new numbers for 2011 ;) |

I must admit its almost embarrasing remembering part numbers... they just seem to stick in my head! lol!! But if it helps people out and also puts a smile on there faces (in a taking the pi55 kind of way, what an anorak etc thats fine by me, lol!...:woot:) Im sure they will remember the experience and stick with Kyosho lol!.. as they will soon appreciate Kyosho for what they are!! ACE!! I helped Ian (forgot his surname, DaSloth on here i think?) out yesterday with his FS at Stotfold National.. and think hes happy now  Cheers Nick  |
You certainly did put a smile on my face after your help nick :)
I found those shock bottoms (in the bin!:eh?:). I couldn't believe the difference after putting those on! Its those little bits of info which really help alot! The car got better and better throughout the day and im just looking forward to running it again  |
I drive a RB5 (MCS) and recently had some problems with my front springs. I usually run Lime Green springs, but have now switched to silver up front.
As far as I can tell, when looking into the springs that I possess (came with the kit when I bought the car second-hand) I thought that the silver spring is the stiffest, then comes the Lime Green and my Orange springs are the softest. But if I look at the list in the first post, it looks as the Lime-green-springs should be the stiffest? Am I wrong here? I always had the suspision that my Lime Green springs were on the end of their life, had become soft (if that is possible at all). |
Neil's list above is indeed correct. If springs are overstressed they can soften but that shouldn't be happening in normal use!

Very strange. Gonna order me a new set. thx for the FB |

The lime greens are supposed to be stiffer than the silvers, but actually seemed to run the same or slightly softer for me. They were also of the shorter length so hard to get ride height with too. I think Kyosho may have re-issued the springs at the correct length since then. Although, the Kyosho rates are so close together I barely saw any point in running anything other than silvers in the end. |
Trying to source silver springs at the mo and nowhere in stock :(
Only got kit yellow and blue at the mo.. |
