Hi everybody. I have a Speed Passion V3 8.5 on GT2 ESC on a 410R and I have a 28T spare gear that I want to try. Has anyone tried this gearing? Are any issues with temperature?

You mean 28t 'pinion' gear?

I'm running a 7.5 on a 23 and its plenty fast enough, so I'd say somewhere around 25 would be a good starting point. 28 might be a bit high.

Saying 28T is high you mean that is overgeared?
I don't want to use it for competition purposes and I don't want to "push to the limits" the motor and ESC.

According to the SP V3 motor manual: recomended gearing should be 6.5 to 8.
According to the DEX410R Gear Chart: 27t=7.96, 28t=7.67, 29t=7.41, 30t=7.16

That's why I decided 28T.
