511 weight?

Hi all. Just about copied LM's RHR setup onto my 511. He mentions weight added in various places on the car but not how much. Does anyone (or Lee himself) know how much and where? I've got none on at the mo and the car feels mint but I wanted to start with a known setup from our national champ. I have the fredrick Emilson lipo tray which moves the lipo back somewhat and I think this must help with weight distribution? Also got the long rear diff cover so may not have room for loads of lead/brass down there. What are your 511's weighing in at overall? Many thanks.:)

Hi, Lee is away for the weekend so I thought I would help.
Lee runs the RudeBits centre weights between his Lipos.
He changes the weight as he sees fit but always runs at least one
Hope this helps you a little and I am sure some of the other drivers will post here as well to help you out.....

Yup Rudebits brass tray is what you want Si

Lee told me one centre weight ( you can run one two or three on top of each other ) but i have been using two since i built the car. Lipos are Speedpower 4200

Oh and extra weight goes around the servo area to make it up to the limit. Mine is about 5 grammes over using speedpower 4200`s and titanium screws/ballstuds

Crikey. I'd better get it on the scales. Not sure if I can fit the centre weights as I run the long diff cover in mine. To be honest Rich, Ive spent so long faffing and making it pretty I dont wanna run it in case it gets dirty or broken. lol.

I too run the long cover and centre weights. All you have to do is dremel the ends off the weights so they fit nice;). Also have a ti and alloy screw kit, rudebits lipo tray and 10g of weight on servo:thumbsup:
Works a dream

Haha a man after my own heart  It gets easier once you have broken her in on the first run.

I just use the rudebits lipo tray (side bits) plus one of the centre pieces! I don't bother with weight anywhere else (I'm on sp4200 cells and steel screws), mine weighs in at @1630. Are you using the full undertray rich? I don't think Griff and some of the others do, that's a bit of weight too!?

Hey Dave, no mines the cut undertray too with the protective sheet on the bottom.

More info on weights of the 511 in this thread from a while back
