losi xcelorin problem
 

Hi I just install losi xcelorin 4,5 combo on my xxx cr and when I turning on i cant do anything motor starts turning at full speed I cant stop it I can only turn my servo:cry: please halp mee i dont known why it just happens

I think this should be in the electrics thread to start with.

Have you tried setting the end points up to your transmitter using the setup button next to the power switch as per the instruction manual?

Had the same problem when I installed mine - look at page 14 or there abouts. You need to calibrate the esc with the receiver. If I remember correctly, turn on transmitter, then turn on esc whilst holding the small button next to the switch......

Whoever wrote the instructions was a berk :thumbdown: Why didn't they just put it on page 1!!!

thanks for help but it doesn,t work when I put swich on in the esc the blue yellow and red leds starts light on the same time

Just found my instructions:

1) Turn on the transmitter
2) While turning on the vehicle Press and Hold the setup button, notice the Yellow LED is now ON solid. Whe the Yellow LED is on solid, you can release the setup button.

Sounds like you've already tried this, so sorry can't help as not sure what's wrong.

I calibrate him but for some reson he goes on full speed and i can't control that maby it was software problem

ok now i install new soft on esc i calibrate him and now motor don't go on maximum turns he won't to start i can't do anything:bored:

Try reversing the throttle channel. Had the same..as one of the many many problems with this speedo.

Do that and that recalliberate until it works ok.

now i known the speedo was darmaged out of the box i rum finaly first time my losi xxxcr with psi conversion and befor 1 minute running speedo make white smok and smell like crap:cry:

What pinion were you running?

pinion 22 spur 78

With a 4.5 I would look at running 18/19

I broke 2 xcelorin speedos and they were both replaced immediately by Horizon hobby, the UK distributer. An excellent example of a warranty/ customer service.

I don't know too much about escs, but I do now if the little switch on the transmitter is switched to reverse (accidentally) then then you get immediate full throttle:cry: Sounds like this is what happened to you.

well but its not very big pinion i was running maby 1-2 minutes and that happends motor was cold

I exit the corner put full throttle and car make sound like i broke some geras and it starts slow down i thing it was a gear box but then speedo start making smoke

Hell yes that's a big pinion. Unless it was a veeeeery big track, I wil nearly guarantee that's what smoked your ESC.

I use around 20 on an LRP 8,5, and up to 22-23 on a veeeeery big track;)
