Heatsink+fan release?

Does anyone know the release date for the new heatsink+fan? Me needs more bling .

They are supposed to ship to us late this week -- we'll see. It's Ellis' design and will come with the fan, so you know it will be dialed.

As usual, we will make sure you know when they are in the stores!

mark christopher 02-08-2010 06:14 PM

what colour will they be?

Darren Boyle 02-08-2010 07:14 PM

Blue the same as all of Ellis E-Speed alloy parts...

mark christopher 02-08-2010 07:18 PM

 oh.

that will look nice attached to my silver motor mount!

any chance of silver as an option?

so apart from the colour whats the benifit of the blue DDP (other than it matches the heatshink!)

Darren Boyle 02-08-2010 09:03 PM

The blue motor plate (as well being anodised blue and not just in plain alloy) is a stronger shape, made from a higher grade of alloy and milled to aid cooling and ever further reduce weight too......

Is this part now available??

MRD 01-09-2010 04:04 PM

By the sounds of things it shouldn't be long now. Less than a month maybe?

Paul_Sinclair 01-09-2010 07:49 PM

There are lots of pretty aluminum pieces and a few hundred fans sitting on the bench a few feet to my left....

Just ordered the packaging for them, should be shipping them out to dealers and distributors very soon

Durango 02-09-2010 01:10 PM

Wuuuuhuuuuuuu :D

The heatsink will (is) DDP Blue, right??

But it isn't official at moment? Because my dealer doesn't know this part and hasn't any information 0.0

So it will be a kit: heatsink AND fan?? Coooool :D

Greets - Daniel

Darren Boyle 02-09-2010 01:26 PM

The part is an E-Speed part and will be the same blue as the most recent hangers (ES001) and motor support (ES002), which are now the the same lighter blue as the DDP items such as the motor plate and chassis support...

The heatsink is primarily to mount the fan, which is indeed include with it.

UK RRP is going to be £25.99, available hopefully in the next 10-14 days now (customs clearance permitting)

whats going to be the price in the US (or canada if you know)? We know have a xfactory dealer in Canada (locally the only in canada) and I hope they won't gouge us with the price too much ($20 for a pair of rear arms, for a losi its $10)

Darren Boyle 02-09-2010 02:53 PM

The control arms (wishbones) are $15 in the USA, so not sure why they are $20 in Canada (they are £11.49 over here with our VAT included)

(Remember that the X-Factory arms are still graphite, whereas all the latest Losi ones are now plastic - EA3 which is cheaper)

The E-Speed heatsink fan is the same cost price (and retail over here) as the XF5800 C-CVD driveshafts, so if you know the price of those over there then the heatsink/fan shoud be exactly the same......

Mabuchi_Johnson_Lee 02-09-2010 04:19 PM

Hope that AMain Hobbies have them too. XFactory parts are getting rare at AMain.

YoungChazz 03-09-2010 03:48 AM

There is a big order shipping tomorrow to A Main -- they should have it early next week.

Our website retail for the ES008 HeatSink/Fan Mount, with fan, will be $34.99. The fan is 25mm and has an extra-long wire with plug that should reach most receivers or speedos. We paid extra money to get the long wire and waited several extra weeks for them to be produced, but this is right.

The fan will also be sold separately as a regular X Factory part, and goes anywhere you need a 25mm fan. Writing from my house, so not sure of exact, but it will be a good price.

The ES008 looks good with the DDP 024 motor plate or the 1233 Real Men Wear Black motor plate, and ES 008 fits perfectly with the DDP 023 trans brace. As usual, Big E has done a great job with this one.

Thanks, I was just trying to see if it was our lhs or xfactory that made the prices what seem high, so its not our lhs gouging us, we just pay the premium for premium parts. Thanks.
