2mm motor/layshaft plate for 25mm lipo

im looking at getting some plates made to lift the motor and layshaft mounts 2mm to allow the 25mm lipos fitted. this will save buying £50 worth of mounts.
im hoping the will be under £5 dependent on how many are needed.

anyone intersested?

they will be anodised and pro made.
all you will need is the lipo mount and gear box parts as the team durango blog

Me too please Mark. Good idea.

you only need some washers to raise the mounts to use 25mm lipos.

Very true. But that gives you far less surface area for the motor mounts heat to be dissipated through the chassis resulting in higher motor temps.
You also run the risk of the mounts not being 100% aligned with each other due to again less mounting area.
I feel this is a far better solution.

Probably pic 2, picture one looks like I made it:woot:

Go for gold anodizing, ties up with the rest of the car a bit better then black.

Yes, picture 2 looks better. As for the anodizing, I'm not fussed. Unfinished is fine with me.

Funkymojo 16-08-2010 08:25 PM

Picture 2 looks good and for anodizing i'd go for gold. I'll get it once it's available, do keep me updated. Cheers
