Do these people have no morals
These very rich people had parked their Koenigsegg CCXR one of only 6 ever made at £1.2m ( top gear version?) and Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce outside Harrods as you do to pop in to get your daily provissions when some stupid moronic traffic warden decided to get them clamped.
These rich people were providing the poor ordinary common people the chance to see cars of beauty. In my opinion doing a public service and look how they were treated. http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/image..._clamps_01.jpg What is this country coming to. |
I dunno, if it is double yellowed lines out there, then if it was white van man, it would be hoorah!! lol, just think, I am sure it won't break the bank getting them unclamped, and if the guys damage the cars, sue them into oblivion!!
|
i have to agree with DCM,the only people who should park were they like is an AMBULANCE!not some someone who cant be arsed to walk from a carpark
|
What a superb wheeze!! Park your supercar, get out and attach a large yellow clamp. At one stroke you have avoided the car getting nicked, and fooled the parking wardens into thinking that you already have a ticket!!
Since standard clamps don't stretch to those tyre sizes, and the clamps aren't marked with the clamper's number, seems to me that the driver's are clever, as well as rich!! Or maybe, they are just dummy clamps... or maybe just photoshopped... You're right, do people have no morals these days!!! :D :D |

I agree mate - them kind of cars shouldnt be clamped ever  |
No this is not a joke. Its for real as reported by the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-10810772
The council said £120 penalty charge notices were issued, but the cars were released for £70 each as the fines were paid within 14 days. They must be normal size wheel clamps for the richer people,s cars:lol: |
I suspect they have larger sized clamps for 4x4s and the like anyway.
As stated, end of the day they were parked in the wrong place. If I parked my car there, I'd have got clamped, so why should they be any different? The people with no morals here are the super rich who consider the rules don't apply to them like they do to us. |
They got clamped because they bought great cars in STUPID colours
|
never mind that they have been clamped , what about the bloody horrid colour , when people become rich does good taste go out of the window ???

I never got clamped when I parked on double yellows in my mates land rover which had just come from the farm with fresh cow and pig muck all over the tyres. We just got a verbal warning "next time we wont be so lenient" they said

The blue is the official colour of the Qatari Royal Family, who own the cars, and Harrods.
From Jalopnik: "In April, the Qatari royal family forked over $2.3 billion to buy Harrods, the UK department store. Now they'll fork over $800 in fines to remove boots from supercars worth $2.3 million two family members illegally parked out front. Instead of taking advantage of the Harrods valet parking service — £8 ($16) for the first hour or £40 ($62) for 8-9 hours with an additional £50 ($100) charge to store a car overnight — two members of the Qatari royal family illegally parked their $1.8 million Koenigsegg CCXR and $500,000 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce outside the London department store last week. Now they'll have had to fork over around £200 ($400) for a parking ticket and to get their cars unclamped. But we guess when your combined value is $5 billion and you bought London's most famous department store for $2.3 billion, it's not even chump change. An onlooker said: "It's not every day you see cars like this, let alone watch them get clamped." We'd agree. |
Yep
If i owned Harrods i park my motor right outside yellow lines or not stuff the fines  |
