Where's the best place to get them? What should I expect to pay for it?

GRIFF55 26-07-2010 06:53 PM

chris68nufc 26-07-2010 07:49 PM

Be organised and do it right first time and you wont need to rush. :)

They are an absolute 1/8 essential. The battery dying or realising I haven't packed my hitatchi at the start of a days 1/8 scale racing is a devastating thing!

o.k. so i now realise that i need one of these things. I hear people were getting them for less than £50. Where? Ive found them in ebay but there for £60+ when it comes to postage etc.

Cheers

Danny

What made you realise you need one Danny?

tc3nitro 30-08-2010 05:34 PM

I can recommend the bosch Li-ion one i have one with the schumacer/EDS power tips and its great for anything 1/8th related !
This is the one i have http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C14418778.htm
If you lookout in Argos/B&Q/Homebase you can usually find these on offer.
The Makita one is awesome but at £150 it's a bit steep.

Many reasons. The first of which is im getting old, and as such need help.

MattADH 30-08-2010 07:51 PM

I got mine off ebay for £35 or thereabouts, but was really lucky.
Will try and find the sellers details and post back...

cannot work out if its just a hex drive thingy or a propper mini chuck, has torque settings, forward & reverse. screwfix also carry it, may be worth a look.

colour to match your wheels :D
